God Is Everywhere

He's in the mountain high
The valley so low
Everywhere you go
He is there

He is in the sun so bright
The moon that shines at night
In the twinkle of a star
He is there

In the trees so tall
The flower that blooms
Grass that grows
God is everywhere

In the morning when you wake
The afternoon having lunch
Time for sleep
He is there

When you plan a trip
In your dreams
Or reading a book
He is always there

He knows what you do
Think or feel
Wants what is best for you
Always there for you

Into The Hills Look

Into the hills look
The Lord is there with a helping hand
He who made Heaven and Earth
Never be defeated

He guards you when you sleep
Gives you shade from the sun
A moon cannot hurt you at night
From all danger he will keep you safe

Your life is his
Not yours alone
As you come and go
He will guard you

Into the hills look
His love is forever
As he parted the Red Sea
And led his people through the desert

Kings he defeated
Powerful Kings he killed
He gave land as a gift
Love is his

When we are in trouble
He remembers us
From our enemies we are free
To every creature he gives food

Peace

Peace comes to those who wait
When prayers are said
Plant a seed
And watch it grow

Sow seeds of peace
Happiness and love
With a smile
Peace

Money

Money is in the hearts of many
Some will abandon family
Church will be abandoned
Children will be left alone

Greed is what happens to us
We buy things we cannot afford
Your life is measured by possessions
Money is the root of all evil

If greed costs you something
Or costs you your Faith
Maybe family
The cost is too high

When Jesus Prays

On a mountainside he prayed
With an impossible task
He did not want to fight
It seemed as if he were to

Be separated by an impossible gulf
But he prayed
As he stood quietly
He basked in majesty

As he lifted his head out of confusion
He heard the solution
The Father does not favor hard hearts
People never perturb the Eternal one

A steppingstone became a hill
A path became a storm
His disciples saw a part of him
No one had never seen before

As the sky darkened
The wind did howl
As everyone grumbled
And some doubted

Jesus prays
Some things in life you can not do alone
In our world there are hearts you can not change
Mountains you can not climb

Jesus' Compassion

Jaws dangling open
Eyes opened wide
Your ear hearing
Compassion

Jesus loved the people
He knows what we need
The sorrow,  life threats,  and more
Compassion

Impossibilities

When everything is faded
And out of date
With tears of promises
As you look into the sky

You think nothing is possible
You have waited so long
Nothing ever comes true
Impossibilities

Then you turn around
With a smile on your face
Something has happened
That you never thought possible

Guilt

Unending echoes of screams
Run deep in the canyons of shame
Never ending guilt of gorges
Guilt

With ears covered
Never look over your shoulder
Splashes of water on your face
You can never out run tragedies

Private is your shame
You're pushed over the edge
Seduced by power
That no one knows

Branded by others
By a disease you're contaminated
By things you did not create
You deal with it

Painful is shame
Dawn will never come
Go to the canyon of shame
Invite Christ in

At the darkest night of your soul
Listen while he speaks
Watch what he writes
As he leaves a message

On a cross
Not in sand
With his blood
Not with his hand

Things God Do

We make plans
God sees them through

If you are proud
You will be punished

If you live for the Lord
Your enemies will make peace

Pride will destroy you
Proud will lead you to ruin

Your words are like deep water
Wisdom like a flowing stream

A person's spirit can be broken
By sadness

A person's smile
Leads to happiness

The Lord looks deep
Inside of you

He searches your thoughts
And judges your reasons

Forever And Always

No matter how near or far
You are with me

This bond between us
Will never be broke

We both knew from the start

No matter what happens
Or what we may hear
Nothing won't keep us apart

In sickness and health

Wounds

Sheep have wounds from living in pastures
They face thorns and thistles
We face aging, loss, and illness
Betrayal and injustice

We will face deep hurts
So we will get wounded
But as sheep we have a shepherd
He will tend to us

Jesus does prevent wounds
He heals them
Blind can see
What he does for others he will do for me

Doom

Leaving him alone
She walked away as
Doom was falling
As flowers were dancing

Beside the lake
He was like fresh air
Infusing life back into her
The touch of morning

Was shivering by the lake
In the cacophony of conformity
She lost her voice
You can hear the doom

As she could not escape
The iron grip of desire
He could hear doom calling
Of flickering candles

Confession

Maybe sometimes in life
We didn't take money
But we did take advantage
Or control

Then like a thief
We took off
We dashed down alleys
Of deceit

Hiding behind buildings
You try to act normal
But our eyes are darting
Here and there

Our hands are fidgeting
As we chatter on
To cover up
What we have done

As we scheme and squirm
Just to change the topic
Then change direction
Confession

We don't want anyone
To know the truth
We just spend life on the run
Confession is good for the soul

Traps

I have many hidden traps
I'm covered by feathers
Under my wings I will hide
I have no deadly diseases

A shield and protection I have
No fear do I feel
Just an arrow coming to me
The darkness I do not fear

You give me loyalty at night
My enemies are destroyed
Many have been scattered
But I am strong

No proud words will you hear
Just a cry from the deep
In the traps of fantasy
Is where I weep
